Biography
Brian Reid rejoined Paragon on November 15, 2012 as the Triangle Market President. He is responsible for the management, staffing and profitability of Paragon in the Triangle. Brian was with CAPTRUST Financial Advisors serving as Vice President- Financial Advisor since September of 2011. Prior to CAPTRUST, Brian was a Senior Vice President - Client Development Officer for eleven years with Paragon.
Brian began his banking career with National City Bank in Cleveland, Ohio where he served as a Commercial Loan Officer in the Corporate Banking Division.
Brian has an undergraduate degree in Finance from The Ohio State University, and an MBA in Finance & Marketing from Case Western Reserve University (Weatherhead School of Management - Cleveland, Ohio).
Brian currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the YMCA of the Triangle, Executive Board Member for the Cary Chamber of Commerce and Executive Board Member for the Capital Area Soccer League (CASL). He is Past Chairman for the Cary Family YMCA Board and Past Chairman for the Cary Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. His awards include: 2011 Cary Citizen of the year, Wake County Board of Commissioners 2011 Volunteer Service Award, 2007 Business Leader Movers & Shakers Award and the 2005 Triangle Business Journal 40 under 40 Award. Brian is active in his church, rotary and other civic organizations. He also enjoys coaching his children in soccer and basketball.
Brian is a native of Onslow County NC (Camp Lejeune). He and his wife Cheryl live in Cary with their five children. Brian met his wife Cheryl at Ohio State University in the varsity athletic weight room. Cheryl played basketball for the Buckeyes and Brian wrestled.
